Donald R. Tindall, is a native of Kansas City, Missouri, and attended Manual High School.  While at Manual, Don was Captain of the football, track and swimming teams.  He was selected for Who’s Who in American High Schools for school year 1967-68.  Don graduated from Manual High School in 1968 and attended the University Of Missouri at Columbia in the fall of 1968.  After a year at the University of Missouri, he transferred to Lincoln University.  While at Lincoln he majored in History and participated in the Stage crafters, ROTC and the Student Government Association.  He was elected President of the Student Government Association for school year 1971-72, and selected for “Who’s Who in American Colleges and University for school 1971-72.  He graduated from Lincoln in 1972 and received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Colonel, U.S. Army (Retired)

Don retired as a Colonel after serving 28 years in the Army.  His last duty assignment was with the Office of the Secretary of the Army as the Executive Officer to the Administrative Assistant.  While serving in the Office of the Secretary, he led the development of the organization's strategic plan to reengineer the organization's structure to provide a broad spectrum of products, support and customer services, while leveraging technology to remain competitive.  He formerly headed the Joint Personal Property Shipping Office Washington Area (JPPSOWA), the largest military transportation office in the world, maintaining responsibility for moving over 100,000 households annually in and out of the National Capital Region.  He is also the former Garrison Commander of the Oakland Army Base in Oakland, California.  Don is currently living in Lorton, Virginia and working as Vice President, Move Management for Interstate Relocation Service, Inc.

Don earned his Master of Science in National Resource Management from the National Defense University in Washington, DC, and a Masters in Education with a concentration in Educational Administration from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia.  Don is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.  He is married to the former Theresa Hester from Clarksville, Virginia.  He is the father to five children, one living in the District of Columbia, three living in Virginia, and one is in the military living in the Republic of Germany.
